Speaking test
A sample report
This is a real report from someone who took the test, published with their permission. What you see here is what lands in your hands when you take it.
For companies and schools, the same document comes back for each candidate.
What the report covers
- At a glance: Getting the message across, use of keigo, pace and pauses, and range of vocabulary, each on a six-step scale from F to A.
- Notes on speaking: What holds up and where it breaks down, aspect by aspect, quoting what was actually said.
- Pronunciation and intonation: How the first language shows through, and whether anything has to be asked again.
- For a hiring decision: Where this person fits, what three months on the job will fix, and what to put in place first.
- The setting: Which set of nine questions was taken, at work or in daily life. The questions differ by setting.
