What this test is

Everything is in English. There are no Japanese instructions, so getting through the questions is itself part of the measurement.

Listening questions come with audio, and the script is never shown on screen, so you are actually tested on what you hear.

Questions people ask

Will this tell me my TOEIC score?

Not an exact score. Each level maps to an approximate TOEIC and CEFR range, which is enough to place yourself.

Can I take it in Japanese?

No. It measures English itself, so the questions are English only.

Is the test free?

There is a free sample you can take right away with no payment. The full test for each level is paid, and it includes the full question review and the shareable result.

Do I need to know my level before I start?

No. Pick the level closest to where you think you are. If it turns out to be too easy or too hard, the result will tell you, and you can take a different level next.

Can I take it on my phone?

Yes. It works in a phone browser.

What if I run out of time?

Each section has its own timer. When the timer ends the section closes and your answers so far are kept.
