Beach yoga in Fukuoka

福岡でのビーチヨガ

Beach yoga in Fukuoka.

Yes I can teach Yoga. In English of course.

Sand under my feet. Waves in the background. A group of people breathing together, fully present in one place, in a language most of them weren’t even born speaking.

Smartphones, social media, and work aren’t going anywhere. They connect us, inform us, and pay our bills. Fair enough.

But they’re also the best attention trap ever built. Notifications. Deadlines. The next scroll. All competing for the same limited space in our heads, all day, every day.

That’s exactly why a session like this matters.

For about 60 minutes, there was no phone, no inbox, no algorithm deciding what I should think about next. Just my breath, the sound of the waves, and my own body. Nothing else.

That’s mindfulness. Not an app. Not a five minute breathing exercise squeezed between meetings. An actual reset.

And the yoga itself did its part too. Stretching out the muscles that freeze up from a week at a desk, waking up the ones that never get used. Mind and body, loosened up at the same time. That combination is what made it one of the best sessions I’ve had in a long time.

If you're in Fukuoka and want to try yoga on the beach, in English, send me a DM! 🧘
